Hey guys, though the list is for kontakt instruments, there were some gig files listed and so I thought I will take the liberty of bringing up http://gigasamples.com which I guess many already know, but for those who may not, do check out. It is a free collection of instruments for the giga player or sfz player, i think kontakt also supports the giga, just that it takes an insane amount of time to convert the gig to samples... For those into very deeply sampled acoustic drum kit libraries with the potential for limitless processing, About as close to a raw, multi mic'd drumkit that I have heard/used in a ROMPler (bar maybe that Mixasaurus or whatever it was called which was just ridiculous, Way ahead of its time really), It is very impressive. Just on the off chance the OP or other KONTAKT user's (along with other formats also) have missed. I'm a metal lifer through and through, With that said even they are not in KONTAKT format these are well worth checking out http://themetalkickdrum.com/free_stuff.html work extremely well for layering/building a kit sound when mixing

 

1: Thanks very much for this list. I have aggregated one of my own, but this humiliates it.

2: The 0on3 libraries, both the blog pages for each and their box.com download links, are all dead. Dommage.

3: My humble additions:

Native Instruments User Libraries (Kontakt; also Reaktor, Absynth, Guitar Rig)

NI's Kontakt Factory Selection Library is still good.

Soni Musicae Early Instruments (Kontakt & sf2)

CATSNU Traditional Korean Instruments (Kontakt, EXS24, Live / also Android, iOS, VSTi)

 

I think I have them all.

It might be said before, but Ivy Audio has updated some of their free Kontakt releases resently, and that´s for the better!

Best place to get them is imho Buzzvst!

 

Just a quick note:

As I said (in the original post), maybe it'd be better to pm me for additional/updated stuff in order to keep the thread as forward and clean as possible. (Why I also asked posters to remove replies after what they posted has been added to avoid duplicates and people looking up replies) That's your choice of course.

A major THUMBS up for the OP.
I just use 6 or 7 Kontakt Libraries (Some paid), but this is truly a wonderful work!

 

Maybe it'd be better to have a dedicated section with Kontakt (freebies) news [other than Software News] or a separate thread with news where anyone can post in succession and just have the main index here? But as you say, it could also happen here, although separate threads are also better for individual library discussion. Dunno, whatever suits people.

 

Any one know how to get 8dio Fireworks? Looked everywhere and even ask 8dio them selves. Does any one have a copy they can let a fellow have?

It's a discontinued product probably some of it was merged to another library with a different name.

 

Does anyoe have 0on3 ~ 0:1 ‘GUI / Builders starter kit’ to repost here? It is the only archive from 0on3 that I have been unable to get. There is even a torrent out there for it, but it has no seeds.
