Hey, on macOS we have a little script that adds 3rd party libraries so that they're available.

Can someone tell me the name of (or direct me to) the equivalent script or app for Windows?

 

Is the old Kontakt 6.5.1 app itself the method everyone is using? (with it's build in Add Library button)

 

I'm on Kontakt portable v6.6.1 (Bobdule), and just manually run the library manager (It's in the helpers folder) as I need to. But the Manage Library button works fine for me in Kontakt Portable 6.6.1 still.

I also have 6.7, but haven't been bothered to install it. I also own legit Kontakt, but haven't really used Kontakt a lot lately. I think I'd only ever really use the bobdule releases.

 

Have you replaced it with some other sampler?

 

No, actually I still like Kontakt a lot for what it is. I used to use it a lot for anything involving orchestral type stuff but I've branched away from that type of music for a bit right now and just working on some more retro synth kinda sounding stuff. There's some kontakt stuff for that, but I'm more into the Cherry Audio stuff, OB-E (omg I love this thing), Minimonsta, etc... even Serum still great.

The Cherry Audio stuff and OB-E are brand new toys for me, so they've completely shifted my focus/interest for a bit!
