Hello, I was trying to get a Kontakt library with no nicnt, so I used the maker and added the new nicnt to the root folder, but it still said no library found. I checked C > Program Files > Common Files > Native Instruments > Service Center and didn't see my library, so then I used regedit and checked HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NATIVE INSTRUMENTS and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, and there was nothing for the library in CURRENT_USER, only in LOCAL_MACHINE so I deleted that. I also tried using portable and still no libraries were found

Which one you using the BD or the Portable? You still need to import the library with KTP Library Manager for Portable and whatever BD's version has, i don't use his. It's usually not an issue and very simple but I'll wait and see what you reply brother.

In that case not every library works with Bob Dule I found, and i have 2terrabytes of libraries all from here and RT and every single one works in Portable but some didn't in Bob Dule and I became quite the expert over the past year in both mac and pc versions from everyone. Portable all day every day. Also while running the BD version I would lose a library at some point after installing other ones with no SNPID crossovers and I never ever figured it out even after wiping all the files. All your other libraries work correctly?

If that's the case just switch to portable I've never had a problem with any library since i moved over. It just works, plus if you install it on your ssd or nvme with your libraries you can take that to any studio and run it on their system if they have windows or just make it easy to move from laptop to desktop.

There is some info I'll see if I can dig up, you can manually add your library to the registry by editing a few entries/creating new entries. I had to do that on a few with BD version, it's not hard, but it's just a pain in the ass when you wanna get a library to show up in Kontakt. I'll see if I can find the post. It's another reason to switch.

You can try this for now and see if it will scan your BD library.

    1. Manually editing the registry to add Kontakt libraries isn't the standard method, as Native Instruments prefers using **Native Access or the Files tab in Kontakt for full libraries**. However, if you must, you can delete specific registry keys (like `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5` or `Kontakt 6`) to reset Kontakt's library cache, forcing it to rescan or register properly, or use specialized tools/scripts like the {Link: Kontakt Library Adder on GitHub for advanced users, but always back up your registry first.

      Standard (Recommended) Methods
      1. For Kontakt Player Libraries (with Serial): Use Native Access -> "Add a Serial" or "Add Product" to point it to the downloaded library folder.
      2. For Full Kontakt Libraries (No Serial Needed): Open Kontakt (standalone), go to the Files tab, navigate to your library's folder, and load the .nki or .nkr files directly.
      3. For Both (If Missing): In Kontakt Preferences > Libraries tab, ensure the library is set to "Display" or use the "Files" tab to locate it.

      Manual Registry Edit (Advanced/Troubleshooting)
This is for fixing corrupt entries, not adding new ones easily.
      1. Backup First: Open Registry Editor (regedit), go to File > Export, and save your entire registry or just the relevant section (e.g., Native Instruments).
      2. Open Registry Editor: Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
      3. Navigate: Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\.
      4. Delete Keys (Use With Caution!): Right-click and delete the folder for the Kontakt version you're using (e.g., Kontakt 5, Kontakt 6, Kontakt Application) to clear its settings.
      5. Restart: Close the editor and restart Kontakt as a standalone application.
