I'm using kontakt 8.1 and when I try to use claire, which is only available in kontakt 8, it says “content missing” and when I load the library, it goes into demo mode as you can see in the picture, and no sound is played. I have tried everything, kontakt_button, kontakt_Manager, deleting the json file, etc., but no solution. What should I do?

Have you tried downloading Native Access and launching it once? I don't remember if you need to login, but I would just to be safe.

 

I did, but no change, it's still in demo.

 

start by add the library

 

Kontakt manager is for R2R version of Kontakt..this is BobDule s version.
Like BobDule mentioned ..use add library,not the kontakt manager

 

both works
but the library is simply not added.

there is no ContentDir location in regedit, it can't validate the nicnt file and load samples.

 

remove funny characters from the folder name [ ] { } etc.

for example if the folder is called Claire [Native Instruments] change it to Claire simply

then use add library script

finally delete the json files where Kontakt stores which libraries are indtalled (installed_libraries?) and when you open kontakt these will be automatically created again

I have tried all the methods mentioned in Threads, and have tried both using kontakt_button and import content for add Library, kontakt_button say it as successful, but kontakt8 it is still a demo after all. Or is there another way to add it?

Did You update the nativeaccess xml?
And have you tried to search for folder with the missing files?

 

Last thing you could try-is to create another ncint file .delete the json file first,
Put aside the ncint file that came with claire and put the 1 you ve created in the claire folder.
When you create the ncint file you can use for example D00 OR D99 or any in between as SNPID.
Official libraries dont use these combinations.
Then add the library with bobdules Kontakt button.exe

It is recommended to use only Latin letters in paths. Any other letters or hieroglyphs may be unreadable for software.

nicnt file is not a problem.

 

Native instruments will never works with special caracters for folder name.
it look like Korean.
you should use an english based system to get all working

I know its an official librarie which normaly shouldnt give one any problem.But it seems this man somehow dont get it to work as it should.
so i am just trying to help him out by telling him that as a last thing he could try to make another NCINT file and see if that will register properly.
Nothing wrong with helping oneanother though?

 

Thanks again for the advice. I tried to make the file name in English, but it didn't work. nicnt file was also re-created, but I got an error and it seems that I can't create an instrument that will probably only work with kontakt 8 or higher

You should activate the library with the created ncint file with bobdule add library ...not with R2R kontaktmanager

 

the best is to use a not edited nicnt file

the Kontakt Manager tell us what is wrong, it is a good tool but limited to official content. (only NativeAccess.xml products)

or you can also try a custom one from nicnt generator, then use add lib.

Thats exactly what i ment to say Bob..R2R kontaktmanager doesnt work with custom made nicnt.
Perhaps that way he can add the library

I got Claire to work in Kontakt 8.1 R2R version. it turned out to be necessary to update the NativeAccess.xml (thanks Bob Dule for the golden hint where to find this file). after that it worked just fine! my advise is to try that:
* use original downloaded 'Claire'
* download and unzip NativeAccess.zip (included in this post hopefully...)
* put NativeAccess.xml in directory (replace if file with this name is already there) :
C://program files/common files/Native Instruments/Service Centre
* run Kontakt 8.1 and try again, maybe now it will work (worked for me anyway)
