Hello

I have just updated Kontakt 7 and it has switched to the new view, how do I switch back to the old view. Native Instruments website is telling me click the button with there lines but I don't see one.

How do I do this?

i dont like the new kontakt interface. it is so useless, stupid, freakingly unnesesary to use! i always use the rack view. development fail

 

NI has been failing at plugin development for quite a while now. Pretty much since corporate mindset takeover. Stop expecting anything great from NI, it's been over for a while, just use what's useful and that's it. Kontakt 4-5 were the best. Battery 3-4 are both great. Massive (and X), Reaktor 4-5, FM8, Absynth, some of the FX (those developed by Softube lol ).

 

At the moment I think Kontakt 6 and Reaktor 6 are pretty fine, at least for an occasional use.
I still have the old 5.x versions of both, but could you explain the reason why I should downgrade?
I mean, are there removed/missing features compared to 4-5?

 

I'm not sure why you would say this. They have certainly stopped cranking out new bigger plugins, but I have not noticed any which are a lower level of Quality. What are some examples of "bad" NI newer products? Most "real" audio software developers do not pound out new stuff. They develop their flagship line, sit back and collect money while providing tech support, bug fixes, and updates.

It's the " kid developer" making bad products who seem to do that.
