Steinberg Halion have a great potential for doing that, compatibility and stability wise, it is a great sampler, synth etc. But unfortunately so war there was no special interest from 3rd party developers to make libraries for it, maybe because of protection or what not... Just for the sake of comparison, comoared with Battery 4, even Groove Agent SE have an excellent features for drums, and if you ask me the best drum sampler so far.
Now i am running old projects to convert them to a GA and easy to ditch Battery forever. The most stupidest drum sampler i have ever used... But it was industry standard at the time i started using drum vst, and have made transition from FL to Cubase 5...
