TLDR; except HiDPI, just bug fixes mostly. Doesn't really deserve a major version change.

 

they also changed few things in the unlock but it is not listed.
you can check it from the beta 6.8.0 (finally not officially released). still crashing when using internal FX, or libraries using it, not showing the graphic interface on some win10 computers.
some old os/machine users will cry.

And HiDPI? Really? In 2022 is that a big news?
If NI could at least stick to Windows conventions, a lot would be gained.
E.g. the ScrollBar.LargeChange Property should be set to 'paging' in the browser windows. When you browse in the library browser the scroll bar does not go up and down excactly one page but more or less of a page. This means searcheing in a bigger collection becomes a pain.

 

Isn't that the same in all slightly larger companies? Operations and R&D departments get smaller and smaller while PR gains vastly.

 

The end result won't matter. We'll still play as always.

Will it still be a 400$ sample player from 2002? That price tag is a joke, and it's the main thing they should focus on fixing.
They're just twisting people's arm because they know they're the industry standard, nothing else justifies this price.

 

NI Komplete 14 is out and I am wondering if the new Kontakt 7 and it's new Factory Library overwrite an existing Kontakt 6 installation. Any ideas? Too bad about NI ditching Absynth. Damn shame.

No. It is a brand new Kontakt Library v.2 so does not overwrite nothing in Kontakt 5,6 Factory library and they can live together on same machine.

 

I was able to install it on Windows 7, standalone version doesn't start and vst3 plugin version is invisible to Samplitude Pro X6

 

The Mac version requires Catalina. Oh, hell no.
