Having a strange issue where Kontakt 7 (tested in Bitwig and Ableton and happens with both) causes the edge/corners of my screen to flicker. Also the new browser window has really low framerate but when I switch to classic that part is fixed (I still get the screen flickering though whilst using Kontakt, whether that be in the browser section or inside a library)

Any help much appreciated!

 

Are you using legit or something else?
Assuming this happens in Stand-Alone mode, too, it is a bit quicker to test
Make sure your video drivers are updated of course, but if that doesn't help, here is some info that might be of use.
It comes from a folder called "Extras" in a 'something else' release of Kontakt.
Keep in mind the last part, that if it fixes the problem, you would need to edit "Black screen Fix.cmd" to run the DAW itself in open GL mode.

If Kontakt only shows a black window, your graphics card or driver is not supported.

You have 2 Options:
1. Update your drivers / get a better graphics card
2. Use 'Kontakt 7 OpenGL.exe' to run Kontakt 7 in OpenGL Mode

If you choose Option 2, simply copy 'Kontakt 7 OpenGL.exe' to
C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 7
and start Kontakt using that Launcher.

This only works for the Standalone.

You also can run your DAW testwise in OpenGL mode by editing 'Black Screen Fix.cmd'
in the 'Source' folder. Just add the path + exe of your DAW and try.

Hopefully those who know more will comment .. perhaps even those who supplied that OpenGL test

My drivers are fully updated which hasn't helped unfortunately. Hmm I'm not sure about the OpenGL thing, are there any other solutions?

 

I don't know. I am using Kontakt 7 Portable and found the graphics were just blurry compared with Kontakt 6 Portable.
I loaded my portable using the GUI Tweaker in the "Help" folder and choosing "Warp".
All the others seemed blurry, but that one is almost as sharp as Kontakt 6.
Installed Kontakt 7 is still blurry but my portable Kontakt 7 keeps the "Warp" setting.
Another nice aspect of using portable.

What video card do you have?
Are you using portable or regular install?

 

I had the same problem, it's something to do with high DPI and you need to edit it in one of the Settings.ini files but I can't remember which one. There's another thread around here that explain how to do it - good luck!

 

I think I've seen similar issue,
are you by any chance using G-Sync or some other variable refresh rate technology on your screen?
if you configure G-Sync for fullscreen and desktop apps, some GUI apps which use DirectX or OpenGL acceleration may trigger refresh rate sync at much lower rate than your default screen is
