Hi guys, I'm desperate I had a Kontakt 6 portable that worked fine on windows 7 ... now I have windows 10 and I can't get it to work .... error 1114 .... if I change the power of my pc then it doesn't work plus all other programs. DLLs are not recognized in ableton 9 suite ... written in red with another error. Please help me

 

Have you changed your switchable dynamic graphics to maximum performance, like this:

Apparently, if this doesn't work, you should go to your graphics card driver - whether it's Nvidia (Nvidia control panel) or AMD (Radeon/ AMD Catalyst™ Control Center) - and find the same settings and set it there to high performance.

 

Hi, yes I have already tried this method, both on energy maximization and on the Radeon video card. The result is that all programs hang with this other error message

 

Sounds like your system is missing core C++ libs somewhere.

1. Make sure you have the latest (or the most reliable) drivers installed for both graphics and audio devices.

2. Some versions of win 10 don't come with certain media features installed. Accordingly, you may need to install the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 to get it working.

Failing that... er, which C++ libs does ableton expect to use in win10? You may need to establish and ensure they're actually installed in your win10 installation.

 

This and also install the visual c++ re-distributables, just in case.
