I'm using the k'd copy of Kontakt 6.7.1 (R0) MOiRA version (all working fine) on my Macbook Pro M1 Max Silicon.

I've been offered a voucher for a free NI Play (Kontakt Library) to download.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to install and use the legit Kontakt NI Libraries like PLAY, in my k'd version of Kontakt (without all the Native Access install etc)?

Its been a while since I added a library so thought I'd ask here first before grabbing and downloading a genuine PLAY library incase it doesn't work?

    Thanks for any help

OK so after looking and downloading from legit NI, it looks like they all use the Native Access now to download your libraries.

I already had a k'd version of NI PLAY Hybrid keys which must have been downloaded like other Kontakt K'd libraries, which works fine.

So... with the legit Native Access libraries that are in my account, do I install NA and use them this way, or will it completely see and 'mess up' my other Kontakt k'd libraries, Spitfire etc??

Or... is there a way to 'grab' the PLAY libraries as a download and install like a k'd version into my k'd Kontakt?

Acquire 7.2 and that should read your library.

''y not just - || Native Instruments – Hybrid Keys v2.0.2 – FULL & UPDATE (KONTAKT) ||. save yourself the hassle.''

You're right. But as I was allowed to grab several of the legit NI PLAY libraries, (so around 8!) I thought I could use these with my k'd Kontakt?

I don't want to mess up all of my other Kontakt libraries, if I install the Native Access and it starts 'seeing' them and trying to register them

I thought NI did a simple download system of the library and sounds, and I could import that into Kontakt the usual way?

    So true!

Version 7.xx seems to have broken the barriers of the useless library management (err, MANGLEment) as was present in all but a few v6.xx. v5.xx on down...

Kontakt 7.1x 7.2x library management is factory fresh and works brilliantly first time every time. It's all integrated (as it's supposed to be) into the Kontakt app so it all works at it was intended out of the box.

Thanks for this. So does the k'd Kontakt 7.2 bring back the Add Library?

On 6.7.1 they got rid of this, so I had to install all libraries, through an older Version 5.6.0 which worked but was long winded.

But got everything working now, so a bit reluctant to upgrade to 7.2, unless it reads and all my libraries are there working?

Secondly though, would this make any difference to my 8 legit NI PLAY libraries?
But it looks like you can only access them through Native Access, (which I didn't want to touch).

It looks like there's no actual download for these PLAY libraries? (I could be wrong)

If you're having issues with registering kontakt libs with v5 or v6 (everyone did due to the broken lib management code in the warezed versions), version 7 should alleviate most of those issues. Also if those libs register ok in v5/v6 they should have no issues with version 7. Your mileage may vary. As far as the legit/native access stuff with v7, cannot elaborate as I dont use native access as I have no libs that use it. Maybe do a complete backup image of the entire system and then roll in version 7 and see what works or not. If things dont measure up to your standards of operation just nuke the whole system and restore the backup. No harm no foul. Backup IMAGES should not hose up registrations of legit stuff as your not rebuilding to a different version. Everything is THE SAME.

If you use kontakt very much at all version 7 is worth pursuing as it is that much of an advantage over previous versions.

How a k*ed Kontakt works now with legit librairies using Native Access to download ?
If we don’t find these librairies on sister site
And if we don’t want to install Native Access Because it will detect k*ed stuffs from NI and make it run as demos
