I am on macbook pro (OSX 10.9.5) and i use (cracked) Kontakt 5.3.1
Can you tell me please how i can (safely) update to the latest (cracked-working...) version?

You don't specify which DAW you're using,

if it's Protools (RTAS), then you got the last version available,

if not (VST or AU), you can go for 5.4.1 or 5.4.2 (releases form R2R),

I'm with PT so I didn't tried those last ones, but it has the usual recommendations for proper installation.

Shouldn't be a problem for you if you managed to install 5.3.1

--> btw, 5.4.1 is full release then you should uninstall previous version
--> 5.4.2 is an update only but needs 5.4.1 to be correctly installed

I am Studio One pro.
The point is that i think is tricky to go for full UNINSTALL...

 

Yes it is a bit tricky to do a proper uninstall,

for that you can use easyfind utility that will help you to find all related files to kontakt 5.

If you haven't already, you can also read the topic there, you might find some very useful infos.

If you don't fill comfortable with that, maybe you should stick with 5.3.1 which seems pretty stable.

I think almost all sample libraries are compatible with it.
