Hey guys -

Has anybody ever registered a purchased library through a cracked version of Kontakt? If so, how is it done?? I'm looking to get new updates for purchased libraries and can only do so by registering through Kontakt.

I assume the only other way to get updates and register would be to install and run Kontakt 5 Player (free from Native Instruments) and a cracked Kontakt at the same time. Is that possible?

You don't need to register threw a cracked version of Kontakt ! (Or maybe I did it before to install cracked Kontakt)

But be careful, most new updates only works with Kontakt 5.0.2 or 5.0.3 ! (I can't install 5.0.2 properly on my computer, so my legit libraries are in demo mode, so I keep 5.0.1 as plugin and 5.0.2 as standalone to use new libraries)




You can use many Kontakt 5 as standalone, no problem but I don't think it's possible as a plugin... (Or Kontakt 5 and 4 of course but not two 5 or two 4)


As far as I know it doesn't work with Player neither...



The only thing I see is reinstalling your legit Kontakt, doing upgrades and installing cracked again.

What version of Kontakt 5 do you use ?



PS : I think warez must be discussed on the lounge section (Still not sure about it as moderator just say "NO WAREZ", some of them like real robots) but in this case don't hesitate to send me private messages, I'd really like to fix these problems (Both are close)

 

You can use different versions of both plugins and standalones you only have to rename them i have 4 different version of kontakt 4 as plugins and standalone v 4.1.1 and 4.2.2 , 4.2.3 and 4.2.4
And it works like a charm..
And this is on PC i dont know if it works on Mac...

Here is how you do it

!!!IMPORTENT
YOU MUST INSTALL LATEST VERSION FIRST

I first installed 4.2.4 and then rename the standalone to kontakt 4.2.4.exe and the plugins to kontakt 4.2.4.dll and you must do that with the 8 out and 16 out dll:s aswell

(You can name them whatever you like i believe but i go for the version number..)


The next installer in this case 4.2.3 will uninstall the first version 4.2.4

But since you renamed plugins and standalone they will not be uninstalled i usually place those remaned files somewhere safe outside the Kontakt install dir C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4 and the VST dir just in case..
(On the desktop so i can easely find them)

Then i go backwords a.k.a 4.2.3 rename and 4.2.2 rename and finally i install the 4.1.1 version without renaming now all versions will open with the 4.1.1 engine but you have all the new stuff that was included in the updates "pretty neat"

I have done this beacuse i still have some unfinished projects that uses all those kontakt versions...

And there is a rule of no warez in the forum...
But it seems that people dont care...
I say that people show no respect whatsoever to those simple rules especially mac people since most warez question come from those people very strange can´t mac people read or what?

So this rule is kind of "no need for" as it seems that nobody cares about it..

 

If you're buying/investing in 'Legitimate Libraries' -- you might as well save up and spring for NI Kontakt ($399) -- this way there is no discrepancies nor worries with it -- Guilt Free, Expansive 43GB Default Library, Free Point Updates, Upgrade Discounts, Free 'Retro Machines MKII' Included, User Support -- It only makes sense (just a thought)
