This is something that started happening somewhat recently. For both Kontakts, every other striking of any note on the MIDI keyboard will make the instrument sound like I have a Phaser effect on it. It does this in both Kontakt 5 and 6 and does not do this in any other VST or sound I have. I don't know when it started doing this or what changed, but so far I've not been able to find much else online for it.

That's as much info as I have that seems relevant right now. If more is needed, I will oblige as best I can.

    Thank you.

Please take off the unrelated links to kvr Audio from your comment.

Done. That wasn't intentional, I made the same post on KVR and it made and carried over those links by itself, not my doing.

How are you using Kontak? Standalone or with a DAW, if with a DAW which one?
Does it also sound like this when playing a midi line from the DAW?

How is it configured? Do you use stereo output or multiple outputs?

In midi configuration, check midi input channel. If it's Omni or all, change to one specific channel and do the same on your controller, make sure it sends only to that channel.

I tried that just now and, wow, that actually does seem to fix it. It's not a perfect fix or workaround or whatever and I'd still like to find something that fixes it properly - since it doesn't do the same problem on my MIDI piano and it doesn't create phaser issues on other VSTs - but that does indeed work and is workable for me again.

    Thanks Oly

    You're welcome.
The good thing is that now, you know that the problem comes from midi. Not audio.

Next test is to record a simple midi track with your controller and look at the notes into it.
Check if there is one midi note for each, opposed to double notes.

If you are unsure how to do this, just record a midi track with your controller, export it as midi, and send it to me.
