This is my 1st post here
I HATE the symlink system! I'm not able to understand how I can install this fu****g stuff!
But today, all Audio torrent can be installed only with this symlink system, why?! Where are r2r releases?
It was already very simple with exe and keygen! Good times..
Anyway, there is a .exe release of kontakt 5.6.8 somewhere? I'm stay at the 5.6.5..

Replace 5.6.6 .DLLs with 5.6.8. Keep 5.6.6 .exe to add libraries. It can co-exist with 5.6.8 without any issues. Get portable version 5.7.3 too.

 

IMO the best way to install the Russian 'no install' releases is to install them manually. This process can be used on most of these releases with a little bit of knowledge and care.

To install manually just open or extract the .exe file with 7-zip or WinRar -- inside you will find the folder structure laid out -- if you have Kontakt already installed you will just have to drag and replace the .dll (or .aax) files where ever you have your Kontakt installed. (don't forget to backup the files first in case you want to return to the older version)

So, I can get 5.6.8 dll simply from systemlink release like this (see link below)? Only thing that I must do it's replace dll file? Which dll? "Kontakt 5.dll", "Kontakt 5 8out.dll" and "Kontakt 5 16out.dll"?

what do you mean with "extract .exe with winrar"? Are you sure?

That is correct. @refix meant to open the .rar file in which the .dll and .exe are found. You keep 5.6.6 .exe along with 5.6.8 in order to add libraries that require 5.6.8. Those libraries are not going to show up in 5.6.6 but will on 5.6.8

Then:
I had replaced the only kontakt.dll file that I found into link above.
Than now I have a exe from 5.5.6 and dll (for my daw) from 5.5.8
I added my library opening kontakt from exe. The add operation is gone fine.
But when I try to opening my new library from my daw this is error that I get (see attached)

Hi everyone! I resolved my issue and I want share with you my solution:
I came from kontakt 5.6.5 and I had need to run my new library that required 5.6.8 version as minimum. But when I opened 5.6.8 kontakt on my daw the library gave me an error (see above).
This because the 5.6.8 didn't have "Add Library.exe" (I don't know why). Fortunately I found this file on 5.7.3 version.
Then, this is my step:
1. I council you to start from last r2r kontakt, that is 5.6.1 and then update it until 5.6.5 (always r2r).
2. Get Kontakt 5.7.3 russian fuc***g symlink installer (on internet).
3. From this Kontakt version you must get only this files: "Kontakt.dll", "kontakt 8.dll", and "kontakt.16.dll" (copy them into your daw plugin folder), "Add Library.exe" and the folder that you will find into "presets.7z" ("copy them into "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5").
4. Now, the only thing that you have to do is launching "Add Library.exe" as standalone application, and select your path library. Each library that you will add, will come automatically registered. Done.
5. From here on I council you to launch kontakt only from your DAW and not as standalone application. This is because your "kontak.exe" is at the previous version yet, and some libraries (that require the new kontakt version) could not work.

the main one being the library manger can add all your libs at once if they are all in one location but even if they are in two or three its alot easier.

with the 5.8.0 its even easier with the search bar to search for libs instead of scrolling very useful if you have lot of libs. also can manger the order of your lobs by name, company ect
