Hey folks,

Installed kontakt 5.6.8 yesterday and found out that the "add library" button is not working. In the release notes it sais "add library button is now for native acces". So my question is how do you add libraries in 5.6.8 without native acces ?

Hi Sam9696 you can add your library with 5.6.6 stand alone,

 

Keep a copy of 5.6.6 standalone and add your library, even when it crashes you then can see it on 5.6.8.

You still can add libraries in previous Kontakt versions. If you add libraries in a previous Kontakt version like 5.6.6 it will still show up in 5.6.8. For example, I have one standalone version of 5.6.5 and another Kontakt version of 5.6.8 in my daw. I only use the 5.6.5 one to add libraries and use it in 5.6.8 where it will show up. So basically you need to have two different versions. For now a solution, but this is probably not gonna work later on when newer libraries starts to come.

 

Aha! Thanks guys! See if I can find a standalone version somewhere.

So I downloaded 5.6.6 but it will overwrite 5.6.8 when I install it. Any ideas how to install them separately ?

Edit: Never mind I don't have to install anything I can just run the app

By the way there is a new release of Kontakt 5.7.0. It have been released today very shortly after my message and that from diazz. No Native Acces or something needed. Just wanted to let you know
