Hi,

My database is not showing all of the instruments in certain libraries (or even showing certain libraries at all), for instance...

Vir2 VI One will only show a handful of bass patches and nothing else.

Rig Urban Workstation, Mojo Horns, Chris Hein Horns, and more wont even show up in the Database.

I have added the directory and updated/rescanned and it's not changing anything!

Please help, I'm going insane trying to figure it out!

You have to add to library tab each one at the top left inside Kontakt ! to add libraries and not just rescan or add directories

 

The libraries are working fine in the libraries tab. They show up there....

The problem is under the Database tab.

Where Type/ Bank/ Timbre/ Vendor / Author are located- specific libraries are not showing under the "Bank" column. It'll show Evolve Mutations, Abbey Road, etc. But there are certain libraries (Vir2 VI One, Chris Hein Horns, etc.) that wont appear in database.

So say if I search under "type" for Brass, No instruments from the Chris Hein horns will appear, but it will show brass from other libraries. Hope that makes sense.

Again, libraries work fine, the database is just not reading them.

 

Hi, have you try to Batch resave each library?

That seems to work for the most part.

Two more questions...

1. One library isn't being seen by the database (Fractured) after doing the batch resave. The .nkc or .nkr are in their folders.

2. The instruments in the libraries that are now being seen in the "Bank" section under the database tab aren't listed under "Type"

Example: I see Chris Hein Horns now listed under the "Bank" column, but if I click on "Brass" under the "Type" column they don't appear. Will I have to manually add the attributes so they will be seen under "Brass"

the only libraries that will add their database info is the ones with a complete .nicnt and not a custom one

How do I know if it is a custom .nicnt or not? A friend installed it for me, and im sure he wouldnt have any idea if it is or not.

The only library thats not showing under "Bank" in the "Database" tab is Fractured. That can be caused by a custom .nicnt?

 

The strange thing is, if I do a search (type in an instrument name)- the instruments do appear for Fractured even though Fractured isn't listed under "Bank"

 

Maybe it depend of the script of the custom nicnt...?

 

Thanks! Is there any way of pulling the attributes in automatically instead of doing them 1 by 1? I have about 10,000 instruments to input!
