I have bought a Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 off eBay and the seller says he has never registered the Komplete Select software as he already had NI plugins, plus he also lost the bundled licence during a house mouse recently

How would I go about getting the Komplete Select software that came with the Komplete Kontrol?

I am assuming I would have to get in touch with NI and provide them with the serial number of the keyboard for them to look up on their database?

 

i don't know the answer, but hopefully you knew this before you bought it.

 

Register the serial number first on NI website.
Once it's registered you should have a list of downloads and drivers available included in the package.
I recently purchased an S5 dj controller and discovered it also came with a copy of Traktor Pro 3 once I had registered it!
Nice surprise as I was about to purchase a copy to use with the controller.
Hopefully the previous owner is honest and hasn't created an account and registered it otherwise you'll be very stuck without your software.
There is also the sister site if there's something you desperately need.

When you say register the serial number, you mean the serial number of the Komplete Kontrol itself?

 

I had a similar situation (though I lost the licence myself... but just used the serial number of the Kontrol and it worked just fine. (Especially if he never registered it, otherwise you might run into troubles!)

 

Yes the one on the underside of the keyboard, it will unlock any goodies in your account that you should be able to download

 

Yo I'm in a situation where they said it was never registered and it was so anyway around it like maybe a kid version?

 

set up an NI account, then download native access (https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access/), install it and enter your serial no from there, that should check to see if its valid and then produce a list of downloads. Well thats how I did it.

 

I have an NI Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2 and I have never bothered to register it. Thanks to the sister site I'm free of NI's restrictions and have access to more than NI can provide me.

 

Lenny Belardo II, I also bought a Komplete Kontrol S88. How do you access the "sister Site" because with some software I had difficulty downloading from the official website. Could you put a link? (or do me have it in private?) bye thank you

And I'd sell it to you except then I would technically illegally possess your keyboard. And you can find any content for Komplete Kontrol on the sister site.
