    Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get Nexus 5 to display its preset library inside Komplete Kontrol. The VST3 plugin is recognized and working, but none of the presets or NKS integration features show up.

When installing Nexus 5, I made sure to check the "Install NKS" option. However, I still don’t see any preset listings in Komplete Kontrol.

My Nexus Content folder contains an NKS subfolder that’s nearly 3 GB in size. Should I move this folder somewhere specific for Komplete Kontrol to detect it?

I’m also experiencing issues with other NKS-compatible synths that aren’t showing their presets either.

In addition, my Kontakt libraries are appearing as full directory folders inside Komplete Kontrol, instead of being neatly categorized by instruments. Is there a way to clean this up or reorganize how they display?

Thanks in advance for your help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's a long shot, but quick to check. Check if the images are in:

    C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 7\PAResources\image

instead of the (supposed right place):

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\NI Resources\image

    No luck, unfortunately.

Anyone knows how this NKS ecosystem works?

I don't use Komplete Kontrol, but there must be people here that uses it.

I've heard it's a mess with recent changes. If you have everything legit the NAccess app does everything for you. Otherwise well, not so easy.

Of course everything is legit, otherwise I would have posted on the NI official forum :))

I've read somewhere in a reFX forum that they at some point have stopped supporting NKS because it just kept causing problems.
This can also be recognized by the fact that in the latest libraries NKSF files are no longer delivered in NKS folders of the libs.
XP Christmas 2022 containes NKSF files in ..NEXUS library\NKS\ while XP Christmas 2023 following do not...

I have also observed myself that the NKS solution by far not working for all kontakt libs that claim compatibility.
My personal opinion is that NKS has been grafted onto an existing system and only works very spasmodically.
It would have been better to reprogram kontakt from scratch at some point instead of messing around with the old one.

At some point, I stopped trying to get it to work for anything that doesn't do it out of the box.
