NB:
-The demo version will only run for about 10 minutes before timing out.

If each of these setting gives me the ability and the ease of use to create life-like performances, I'm inn (but realistically Speaking, Samples have a long way to go or maybe it's not the samples but how this are used to perform?)

I´ve downloaded the demo and its not complicated at all ...... infact its the best KH has done untill now - imho!! Looks like Mr. KH has finally found out how importent good scripting is, and above that it even sounds pretty good!!!

Impressive !!! It's made for composers that understand the articulations and playing nuances.

Such a long way, that IMHO, it will never be. There are to many individuals involved in a symphonic orchestra. If you go to the same theater 2 following nights, you wont listen exactly to the same thing.
Even though, these library allow to compose with enough realism to have a very precise idea of how the piece will sound when played, and for those who cant have access to real orchestra (Budget, time, both) they are the only solution.

 

I agree and that's why i think samples are only part of the equation, as we know and phloopy gently pointed out that scripting adds the finesses to the samples but unless we come up with a way to make these samples less static and more motion like (legato), all samples libraries in the same category essentially will sound the same, and alter based on Mic Positions

Yeah, but frankly.... you dont need to take it that personally, or whatever really! Infact I would love a so called cracked version myself too, so I can do some judgments if it really does what they say it does! .... Wonder what price they charge .... imo it looks interesting!

If you compair with former releases from Mr. KH .... this one actually sounds pretty good, but its all about different opinions and taste I guess!

 

in my opinion, it's seems to be a usefull strings tool due to the script, the possibility to program ADSR legato attack and space....
just on one page, it looks really comfortable.
But it's my opinion, and of course a real strings orchestra sounds better if you are a good composer and writter...

They are a step up compared to the previous ones but I still got the impression of listening to the sustain articulation of different solo string players layered together instead of an organic string ensemble. Maybe it's just my impression. .__.

 

Nothing can compare the complexity of a real string section. But we aim to make tools that enable music creation a little easier....that's all.

Hi everyone (5 years later and hopeful).
I would really really love to get Concert Strings 3 v1.2 (before the v1.3 update - which removed the ability to reduce to < 4 soloists).
I am totally willing to buy a copy. Any remote hope?

 

As you said, this thread is five years old and as such, a lot of newer libraries are available. You might want to compare with some of these before committing to this Kirk Hunter library which is a bit obsolete by today's standard IMHO.
