Dear all,
after last update I have a problem with Keyscape, None of the Keyscape Library instrument is working and a message "....zmap may be missing or corrupted. Try refreshing the SoundSource Browser" is visible. The same message I have when opening some of Keyscape creative instruments but hopefuly some of them works ok.
I'm using windows 10 64 bit and Cubase 9. If any of you had the same problem and found a solution I would be grateful for advice.

DeeeZZZ, thank you for your advice, apologize for late reply but I wasn't available for some time, I followed your advice and unfortunately it doesn't help. Everything worked fine previously till last update, have no idea how to make it work again. If you or anyone of the members here have an idea, I would be grategull

 

What DAW you use? When I'm deleting this zmap.index, Cubase and Studio One crashes.

 

Dear Community, how a folders tree of the keyscape should look like? Any advice how to make it working?

all this mess because TZ Group released a buggy pack with missing or wrong DB files.

 

Open zmap.index with Notepad++ or Wordpad and see what you have on the 4th line for PATH. I used Find and Replace to remove every mention of the existing path and replace it with Keyboards/
The first entry reads:
<ENTRY NAME="Chimeatron Chimes Release" PATH="Keyboards/Chimeatron">

The last entry reads:
<ENTRY NAME="Yamaha CP-70 Pedal Noise RR" PATH="Keyboards/Yamaha CP-70B">

Pinkman Can you be a little more specific. I'm looking in my text editor and seeing path=
Do you mean after PATH=Keyboards/
Do you not put in quotations? Is this done on every <ENTRY NAME= all down the list?

 

Keep the quotation marks. If you use Notepad++ or Wordpad you can use the Replace option to automatically edit every Entry.
I can't remember exactly but in my original zmap.index the entries looked something like this and pointed to locations that didn't exist:
<ENTRY NAME="Chimeatron Chimes Release" PATH="E:/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Keyscape/Soundsources/Factory/Keyscape Library/Keyboards/Chimeatron">

Find this - E:/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Keyscape/Soundsources/Factory/Keyscape Library/Keyboards
Replace with this - Keyboards

So the entry becomes:
<ENTRY NAME="Chimeatron Chimes Release" PATH="Keyboards/Chimeatron">

yet still having the same zmap issue..so just to verify should entry look like this after editing:

remember you have to change all the instruments in the file to the same format. No just Chimeatron.

 

Yes. Use "Find and Replace" to edit all entries.

 

Always some issues with Spectrasonics installations... They are extremely fiddly.

 

Is this solution for Mac? All of my entry names are correct. I'm still getting error message saying Release.zmap may be missing or corrupted.

 

I would try hiring a private dick to find all those missing zmaps. If they're corrupted then just be prepared to "butter them up".
