hi guys.

when you play Keyscape, the RAM fills up and out every second without minding the settings inside Omnisphere/Keyscape. I mean, it does not work as DFD from Kontakt: once you load a .nki, the RAM does not move when you play. It loads the samples and finish. but in Keyscape, you load a patch and it loads up in RAM; when it finished loading to RAM, while you play it will load more and more! in other words:

I'm using LA C7 Grand Piano. When loaded (without THINNING), the RAM is at 4,6 GB (with 800 MB ca. of Windows 10, other 0,5 GB for Cubase Elements 9 and 0,5 GB to open Omnisphere - so the patch is around 2,8 GB in size). Now I play all the stuff that I want, within the entire keyboard, with pedal (a lot of voices at the same time) and it begins to grow up to 5,3 GB - then, it starts and keeps floating around that number, as shown in these screens; then when I stop playing, it comes back to 4,6.

It does this with Acoustic Piano (large patch); with other patches (I tested Rhodes Classic and Clavinet C) it does so but the difference is unnoticeable (with Clavinet C the difference is under 0,1 GB, with Rhodes Classic around 1,0 GB or a few MB). the thing that I don't fully understand, is why samples streamed from disk are loaded in RAM. I mean: if there are a part of patch loaded in RAM and a part of it streamed from disk, why does it load into RAM the second part too??? it doesn't have sense... if I want to stream it from disk, then it means that I DO NOT want to load it into RAM...

Other issue: when I play a lot of voices with pedal, when I release the pedale I hear a sort of dropout. You too?

I have been using Keyscape for the past two weeks and I agree that I cannot get it to work on my Windows 10 laptop no matter what I do. I have the newest Surface Book with Performance Base which has been hailed as the most powerful laptop on the planet. Here are the specs: i7 processor running at 2.81 GHZ, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. I am using Bitwig Studios as my host, a NI Audio 6 interface, and both a NI Komplete Kontrol S49 and a Roland RD-800 as my MIDI controllers. Even if I use Thinning, set the voices to 16, up the samples to 256, and try everything else under the sun, I still get audio pops, crackles, and dropout that make using the software impossible. The C7 sounds great when it is not popping, but I can't perform with it under these conditions. Spectrasonics has been working with me but has not been able to find a solution. I also own Omnisphere 2 and have no problems with that. Does anyone have suggestions about how I can get this to work?

 

Try using jBridge to create a new 64-bit .dll for Omnisphere and loading your Keyscape library using that.
You can bridge the x64 Omnisphere.dll to another x64 .dll by setting the destination folder to your desktop then moving the .dll back to your VST folder. make sure the name of the jBridge .dll is different than the original.
This is a total band-aid fix but it works for me.

I guess you could do this with Keyscape itself but I don't have that and not sure how effective it would be.

I couldn't even hear a sound after installing
Because I just installed omnisphere and it's updates without the omnisphere library ( because it needed lot's of Gigs )
Is there a way to here a sound without installing the omnisphere library and just the keyscape?

 

Anyone tried the kontakt version of keyscape?

 

Im not kidding.Russians have it.8Gb and 1.7 Gb file for konakt re-edited.

Hi i'm having a bit of an issue with the keyscape library as well. When I load omnisphere i see it amongst my other spectrasonics libraries in the list but when you try to load one of the keyboards nothing loads are there any solutions to this because so far i haven't been able to find out what's going on with it. I just have gigs worth of beautiful keyboards sitting and can't access

 

I'm having a problem every time i load a patch it says sample file not found on disk la custom grand pedal noise so on on....

 

Sadly not the wurly, which for me is the only interesting part of keyscape

Use R2R Keygen to patch.

 

I am trying to get it work in Omnisphere 2, but when I want any keyscape library in Omnisphere it always say "Cannot load Soundsource..." I put the whole thing on my D drive and made shortcut of STEAM in C:ProgramData\Spectrasonics, but still nothing I always get that message. I have all latest patch from omnishpere 2, trilian, and keyscape. Please help someone, I'm struggling here half day with this.

OK the main thing about this program is that is very fussy where it wants to find its files which I figure we all know.
While my initial issues were the depth of directory[folders] - yours might be different but still, check this.
If you have an extra Keyscape folder which I notice some uncompressors do then this is the issue.
From the STEAM folder down, below is where the sound files should be inside the STEAM folder. If you have extra folders as you are Windows based on the above; Then it is likely there are too many directories[folders]. I noticed first time, it created an extra Keyscape directory. That is when I got the error. This is what it should look like:

\STEAM\Keyscape\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library

There is another alternative and you may not like it but it works. If you have enough space on your boot drive do a default install. Be very careful if you have Omnisphere already installed.

Keep in mind the STEAM folder needs to have all the applications in the same place. It doesn't like them in different places. So I figure you have Omnisphere, Trillian, Keyscape and Stylus[if installed] all in the same STEAM folder area? - Stylus creates SAGE but while it works elsewhere, it tends to not spit the dummy if in the same area.
By the same area, I mean it should look like this in the actual folder area if also Stylus:
- Omnisphere, Keyscape and Trillian should all be inside the STEAM folder
