Is tonex the same foundational concept that is used by the kemper profiler amps? Just wondering in case instead of buying a $1800 amp/cabinet modeler I could get tonex if it does largely the same thing for less? Obviously there’s hardware differences but I’m looking at it from a simple amp/cabinet modeler, then run it through any distortion effect I have installed on windows or what’s available in the two, if I want to add more unusual effects or stuff like chorus/delay I’d use a separate plugin for that.

Not looking for multi-output recording here, just stereo at max in case there’s a limit on stuff like effect chain routing, I’d plan on recording and using the digital workstation for effect routing more than with any external gear or hardware effects, cause it’d probably just be tonex/kemper and windows can handle the rest
