    Hi
Keka was working fine then yesterday i went to extract something and this message popped up
    " can't show progress time "
I select the destination folder and it just hangs with a time elapsed counter counting infinitely it would appear.
I have updated it and still the same.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what has happened and how to fix it please?
    Thank you

I imagine it is just related to the file you were trying to open. I've had that. So I also have The Unarchiver on hand.
Did you try it with other files?
I have seen that message popup for a split second whilst it successfully unpacks something too.

I have tried it with files it previously unpacked and the same thing is happening.
It has literally just stopped working

Oh. Have you had a software upd recently?
    That's very strange.
It's funny you say this though, because I have noticed it having more problems as time goes on.
Maybe they built some sort of timebomb into it, and they plan to come out with a paid version.

That is actually a very logical suggestion.
I thought it was very strange to have just stopped extracting and what you are suggesting isn't completely out of this world on a capitalist driven planet.
The problem arose before i updated it and is still there after the update

Well , I meant (but didn't write ) 'OS update'.
But the fact you've actually updated the software, well.

edit: Hang on. That would mean they're offering a borked download right now.
So maybe this points to a system change on your end, somehow? I don't know.

Yes, I'm sure they say that. But I just meant did you have a recent OS update before it stopped working?
    Was just trying to troubleshoot.

    Ok working now.
The folder i was trying to extract within had an astrix ( * ) at the beginning.
I deleted it and used another folder and extracted from there.
I hadn't noticed that the problem obviously arose around the time i added the prefix * to that folder.

thanks for your help Smoove Grooves
