here is my latest german song "Walters letzter Tag" (Walters last day):

For the English speaking people; its about a guy who has worked 50 years his ass off and told everyone at work, that today is his "last day". Everyone takes it he was referring to his last day at work, but "he kinda looked sick lately", "he has to take a lot of pills" ...and we are wondering why he hasnt shown up yet, today at his last day at work...?

Last two verses go like this (please excuse my stumbling translation):

Walter wants to live heathly now
His last day motivates him a lot
Way too much he's looking forward to
And way too little he's regretting

I say Walter, that's the spirit
But somehow he looks cold and worried
But who knows whats going on with someone
So shortly before his last day gone
______________

Are you hearing the sirens?
One more is saying goodbye
Well, that's who people are
Not everyone really gets old

For Walter it is a new time
Years for years, he was looking forward
Off tomorrow, hes doing what he wants
Because today is his last day

The refrain could be translated like this:
His hands are rough, his breathing hard
he's looking forward to so much more

'coz finally, he got some time
I am just asking myself, why is Walter not coming?

my album release is planned around March 2018, approx 11-13 songs.
I will be recording and mixing everything in my home studio, doing it as good as I can and hope that "only" the mastering will have to be done in a good studio by others.
I am not aiming for huge financial success, I am just doing what I love and I am able to spend some money on it.

@No Avenger I thank you a lot for your kind words, means a lot to me!
I might came back to you later (probably with a pm) to ask for some opinion and guidance if you dont mind.

For this track - I will defintaly mix the drums louder and eq the bass a bit better. I also want to change the guitars in the stereo field, not satisfied with it yet. But I spent so many days on in a row, I am taking a step back for now and rest my ears to go back into details in one week or so.
But I feel confident about the song ending up on the album and your comment encourages me as well!
