    Hey Guys!

Got these beauties about 2 months ago. My mixes have improved by a great deal especially since I upgraded from a pair of ATH M20x. Still use them for referencing and mixing sub frequencies. These speakers are such a bang for the buck too! Paired with my Audient iD4 they sound crystal clear.
Anyone else have these monitors? Just curious to see what you guys think about them.

I've heard about these! Seem to be the real deal. Hope I can listen to em soon.

I would totally go after these but I already have Yamaha HS-8's and JBL lsr305's, and have had my eye on HEDD Type-20's which will become a pretty serious investment.

I know you're working with limited space but id recommend putting the speaks up a little higher, and turning them inward towards you. added some guideline images below. Obv just work with what you have.

Have the LP’6s and ID14, and yes, a great pairing for not a lot of cash

Agree with @GERBA. Your monitors are firing straight past you to the back of the room somewhere, and they are way too flat. Not the triangle they should be. They will never converge in a sweet spot like that.
Also even though they are front-ported, I believe that is too close to the wall for any speakers.
    Bass is still omni-directional, remember.
I reckon they're just about to impove by way more...

If you think they're doing wonders for your mixing now, just wait until you get them positioned properly so you're actually hearing them correctly. :bleh:

Hey man. How are the HS8's treating you? Wanted to go for those initially but couldn't because of my limited budget. Not regretting it though.
And yeah thanks man I've actually been struggling with monitor positioning a bit. Those guildelines are really helpful. Will change the angling of my speakers and see

Yep I need to change the angle a bit. But with regards to the proximity to the back wall, these speakers actually come with boundary compensation switches. I have it set accordingly. I can't bring the speakers much further because I have really less space unfortunately :/

I've learned to love them. At first I found them a bit harsh, but they're mostly reliable when my mixes translate to other speaks. Overall solid references!

you're absolutely right about that. I find myself taking way lesser breaks compared to when I was purely mixing on headphones

My setup with them has less than ideal placement, and they are more so I can just use for listening when tracking without getting too focused like on headphones. Plus my little boy loves to play with my keyboard so we can jam, so I wanted a set that weren’t complete garbage but also wouldn’t break the bank, but I have been blown away by them, definitely a good investment.
