Ive got a maxed out mid 2015 MBP. While I love it , none of the components cam be upgraded. Depending on which plugins Im running and how many tracks are in the project, I can be less than gentle on my processing Power. Im always trying to read up on how to optimize my machine, but just finding out about Mac Pilot, it sounds like it could get me alll the way there as well as squuezing some extra juie out of it from thin air. If anyone can list needed tweaks and inform me on a few specifics, It will be greatly appreciated

Here are some specific options i Have which i really have very little clue

Use or disable secured Virtual Memory?

Enable Quartz 2d Extreme ( This feature may be unstable. Requires a restart. Enables Quartz 2D extreme functionality, which uses the graphics card to render graphics and text.) So this would allow more processing resources for gpu/cpu?

Enable Quartz GL Rendering (Warning: This feature is buggy! Requires a logout, 1GB of RA M, and only one video card. QuartzGL can boost performance if an application is hardware acceleration dependent.)

Disable Beam Sync Mode ? (Makes video/game playback as smooth as possible on CRT displays. This feature is equivalent to what is known as Vertical Refresh. Requires a restart.)

    Power

    Power Naps? yay or nay/

    Disable/Enable Hibernation?

    GPU Switch- Intergrated/Dedicated/Auto?

    STARTUP

Allowe Basic tasks to execute while sleeping?

Graphics Mode? (This will force the computer to boot into a specific resolution at startup. Must be in the format like <width>x<height>x<depth>@<frequency>. Example: 1440x900x32@60 or 1440x900x32 where 1440 is the width, 900 is the height, 32 is the bit depth, and 60. is the refresh rate.)

    Text Mode? Column by Row

    Disable nVideia graphics cards?

    nVidia Web Drivers?

Send kernel debugging printf output to console?

Send debugging kprintf output to serial port?

Output certian diagnostic info to the system log

    Trigger core dump on NMI?

    Disble graphic panic dialog

send only panic log, not core dump , on panic

trigger core du mp on panic

drop into debugger on NMI when pressing interrupt switch

    makeddv(kdb) the deafautl debugger

halt a boot time and wait for a debbugger attach

allow debbugger to ARP and route

prompt for action after the kernel panic

wait for teh debuggger after NMI Dump

    The Wow Factor
Get out of the passenger seat and take control of your Mac. Set your login window picture, use the screensaver as your Desktop, modify advanced file permissions (ACL), change the system welcome message, enable simultaneous recordings in QuickTime, view system logs, or enable the Debug menu in numerous apps.

Or perhaps you're feeling the need for a simpler lifestyle? Disable the Notification Centre, virtual memory, Dashboard and iCloud saving. Ditch time-wasting graphical animations, prevent system sleep, suspend Safari's web caching, disable App Nap, remove the downloaded files warning message, and more!
