I had a similar thread b4...but I am still kind of paranoid. I just a got a mac pro desktop that costs almost $4000. Is there any downside to using warez software off audioz in terms of being bad for the hardware/new expensive comp?, specifically the warez versions of Logic 9 and Native Instrument and Rob Papen AUs. I understand morally it is better to buy the legit versions, but technically, will the purchased software versions affect my new computer hardware any differently than the versions off audioz?

1 simple rule: if you are concerned in any way about the potential effects of running modded software on your computer then don't do it. It's always a risk. You can be smart about it, you can be very choosy about which groups you trust, but at the end of the day there is obviously no guarantee. That's why it is always so funny to see people complaining about this or that in the comments, it's like, what did you expect, a customer support section? Just remember, at the end of the game, you die; so in a zen way just see your Mac as already broken and hopelessly outdated, and you won't be so worried. As for me I am willing to take a certain calculated risk in order to experience some things I would normally be unable to because of financial constraints, and when the opportunity presents itself I try to be financially responsible to the products that I actually find useful. And I am extremely grateful for the amazing talent in the scene, I am seriously blown away by it, like it's been said before, some of the releases are actually less buggy then the actual official products. That's pretty cool

Oh and congratulations on the new rig, what are the specs?

sorry man, but if you can afford $4000 on a new computer, you probably have no real business using warez. As for your direct question, I can't stop laughing long enough to answer it......

trust me this is the biggest purchase of my life so far...literally, and only because i want to run a huge vst/au setup, i would like to purchase all legit software, but i just cant afford it yet, so i foresee still running some audioz warez versions for now...

What can i say if you can save money to buy a computer that cost 4000 and you are concerned that warez will destroy your fine computer??.

Then you sure as hell can save money to buy legit copys of Logic and NI and Rob Papens AU.

As they don´t even come close to cost 4000 all of them togheter

You can buy this from amazon and you have spend around 1/4 of the price for the computer

    490$ For NI Komplete
    180$ For Predator
    119$ for Subboom bass
450$ For the full Logic Studio

And if you shop around you can save a lot of dollars
You can buy second hand version of logic as they are just DVD:s in a case so what can go wrong?
It´s not like buying a second hand car that looks fine but the engine and everything else is shit.

If they was kept in the original case and was handle with i little bit of care they don´t get scratchy and you could use them just fine.

The same goes of course for NI and RP:s software.

    But here it goes!!
NOTHING will ever happend to your computer hardware if you use warez version of the mentioned software.
Did you think it would blow up in the sky with an explosion ? or burned down to the ground?
The only thing that can go wrong is that the software would not work in that case just uninstall them

I think if you use warez on that hummer of a new machine tiny blue fairies will start flying over it leaving constant traces of sploog e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. It will soon be so bad that one morning you'll wake up and in big bright letters it will probably say "WACKINTOSH" on your machine.....

Even worse, if you're not careful with your firewall people from the Native Instruments company will likely soon knock on your door and they will want to confiscate your new 'puter as e-v-i-d-e-n-c-e altogether. They will be so angry that they will make your butler and your maid drag that $4000 beauty out to their NI-mobile for them.

There are turds and then there are flaming turds, but you're some whole new class of turd that defies name and definition. Now excuse me while I go grab some dinner with my food stamps. Have fun with your WACKINTOSH.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

P.S. You know that stuff your teachers use to tell you about how there's no such thing as a stupid question? THEY WERE WRONG!

Will you not watch some porn vids with your 4000 $ computer?
    Same applies to warez...

    he said it already

that's a huge waste of money IMO,...as we say a fool and his money are soon parted and no one as ever understood and applied that better than Apple! ...unless ofc you have really big projects and REALLY need all the power so that you can make some big dough with it....anyway no risk about using warez...just look at things this way...in 3 years from now your computer will be almost worthless and there will be a new 8000$ model on the market... would you still be worried if you were to buy your brand new computer in 5 years from now at a 1/10 of what you paid for it today...you wouldn't probably even ask yourself the question and would use it with all the cracked software you like!
but making dough with pirated software is clearly going against the purpose of warez which is either educational or "recreational"

what do you intend to do with your machine?

There is no single difference between a cracked and a legit software.
Some cracked softwares are actually cleaned of unwanted code used by the protection and run better than the legit one ( less mememory and cpu usage ). Cracked software can't harm your computer in any way, enjoy your beast.
