Be sure, I will complete this one. I really loved it. Arranged considering four-part harmony and voice leading. What's your feeling? I need your criticism.
    Thanks!:winker:

Reminds me of the 'music' you used to get with the really early game consoles generated from the onboard chip.
Not sure how you plan to develop this but I think we need to hear more before passing serious judgment.

For me, i'ts too busy, with a lack of character to any of the sounds. For all that's going on, it sounds thin.

Finding the right sounds is always a challenge for me. Yes, producing more is the cure.:dj:

I really like it! It has great atmosphere and gives me nice chills. I most like the kind of DX synth sound, maybe from a DX 7 or Synclavier? Looking forward for a finished version soon!

Yeah, it sounds liek sumbody sweeping up planet Zebes after Samus has done her latest alien genocide! Crit? Well, ur arp kinda stings the ears / brain a lil @ those high oct, lots of ways 2 solve. Also sudden dramatic key & speed change into slow string passage (with uber bass) was expected. And not delivered. Yet? Also not too busy, but despite lil bit of inharmonic, tonally a bit flat liek someone else said. Guess that's why sudden drama change was wanted?

I love songs that arise strong feelings inside the human's soul. Most of EDM or similar genres (check out here the labels' top 10 tracks: http://labelsbase.net/) are frustrating my sensations. The only ones do it supremely and dominantly for me is these kinds of bassy ones which I'd be rarely successful in finding them elsewhere and hence I usually rely on my internal forte and knacks for writing them.
I agree. I'm not a fan of high octaves for the lead melodies but for having any chance of being heard I was compelled. I just mixed all of them together to be sure they sound correct counter-pointedly, otherwise in the final mix, I'll make an effort every sound harmonically placed in their exact spectrum that I would not be obliged to shift them to the higher frequencies.
Not key change but speed yes, a bit odd. I should try to be logical. The so-called intro phrase is immaterial and needs to be changed.:bleh:
Inharmony is probably due to the different timbres blended together not because of the out of key note selection. I think checking whether the final result is harmonious or not needs kind of engineering skills but me destitute of those finesses yet.
Don't know the reason, maybe because of being faithful to the key and not thinking chromatically.
    What?

Not that much but thanks anyway! If you'd compare it with mine, yes really is so copacetic from a mixer guy's view but to me always the notes in the piano roll dominate every thing.

I actually like that. Your transition into the next part needs work IMHO.
The sounds are very similar, so it could be that. Also could be the reason for the leads fighting to be heard.
Try dropping the bass down an oct or 2, you've plenty of room down there.

That track is an absolute masterpiece - and not just according to me. I just wanted to see if we understanding music in the same way, but we have no common ground. Safe travels in your musical journey :)

I really like it. It does sound a little dated but I think that's the synths you've used! Maybe you could take a little more time to build it up. However IMO I'd bring the 'expected' strings in around 29 secs. I would put really low octave beefy strings in there at first then evolve them and build it. But don't use an evolving sound as there's already a lot going on there - use just a thick string. But song writing is really subjective and if you gave that chord sequence to all of us we'd all write it differently!

    ***************************************COMPETITION IDEA*************************************************

Maybe an idea for an experiment guys? You all take a specific chord sequence/progression and write a short tune above it in whatever genre you wish and see what you all come up with. I'll name the chord sequence/progression (which is why I cannot take part because I've most likely used it at some point!).

Any genre, any tempo, vocals if you want, but if no vocals then there must be a tune and that's it.

    Thanks!!

@Cribs i think a better experiment would be a you giving a handful of chords in no particular order, then see what various people do with it. I think that would allow for maximum creativity for the "contestants".

Twas just a dumb ref 2 the clonky bells (ie inharmonic partials) sound. And a clunky Harmor-nic pun.

It prolly wasn't very clear, i'm confusing myself. I think I meant that the reason I expected u 2 suddenly and unexpectedly ("dramatic/drama") jump into a key and speed change for a few bars was maybe because u have quite similar tones, and it's crying out 4 a bit of rough / organic contrast ("drama"). I dunno, tho. It's not my work :)

Heh. That's the best place to have forte!

Was trying to extend the previous one and I approached this one:

Do they have any potentiality to be mixed together or 2 different things?
