Hey yo,i've just downloaded max6.1.9(runtime6.1 etc) from the official ableton page cuz i couldnt get max7(R2R version) to work properly(it had this amazingly irritating 2-sec fadein-fadeout behaviour with max4live devices' sound).
So its a demo,whenever i open Live it asks to auth or demo it.
Everything works nice now with the devices, my question is when the demo expires, will the devices still work or ill have to install again?
Dont wanna mention how much i hate Ableton's marketing techniques, but apparently i do

 

I don't have a license for Max--I just use it with live and it's never asked me to authorize anything. If I try to open Max itself it obviously won't let me use the full version but it's fine with Live.

I don't really understand the problem you're having. Can you elaborate?
