Downloaded it a couple of hours ago and am trying out on some drums. It's crazy how good it already is and is still getting better with every update! It has replaced Pro-C2 as my go-to clean comp.

It seems like a no-brainer if one is looking for a clean machine (though like a friend "with benefits"), especially at this price point and compared to the Fab offering. There also doesn't seem to be a need to be online to register as the license and plugin are downloaded together.

I've talked myself into it.

And goodness is it inexpensive compared to many others. Glad I jumped in head first.

 

There is no license When you pay for it, you get sent a download link and then you just download the vst3 and put it in your vst3 folder.

With this new VCA mode it even sounds great for smashing a parallel drum comp track. If you want more grit you can just put a saturation and/or clipper after FirComp.

 

This is a prime example of a developer doing it right: I didn't even think for a second to make up my mind to buy it, and hope a lot of others will do it too. That one of the best compressors has zero DRM and is easy to install, and so inexpensive, just feels so good.
