Speaking only on the positive...
When anyone in any creative field gets used to their creations selling or reaching an audience that values it in a certain way for a long time, then it drops off to a tiny amount compared to its predecessor, disappointment is normal. Dust it off and get back up and make the next one even better would be what many would do.

Speaking matter-of-factly, Billie Eilish apparently doing her first CD mainly in a bedroom, 20 million does seem a trite excessive.

Agreed - She was a standard person out for fame and money - not art.
That's why she is a entry level - actress.
That's why she is a entry level - singer.
That's why she is a entry level dancer.

A dime a dozen in L.A.

She's pure product and nothing else.

If in fact she actually paid 20 Mil to make make these products - she got ripped off.
Why would she be suprised by failure?... her movies bomb. .... She already got dropped by the Label for poor sales (hence the self production).

I don't even know a single song from JLO even though I'm 29. 20 years ago I watched MTV every day, so I must have seen some JLO music videos, but I just can't remember her.

 

never considered her a music artist... just a celeb using albums as another way to cash in on her fame. Much like many non-musician talentless internet celebrities with big followings putting out worthless songs to get millions of views from their followers.
