I assume that you have enabled the function in the settings? Does the CRC check only not work for certain services/websites? You should know that not all services provide a checksum. If a checksum exists, it will be displayed in the file properties. If services/websites don't provide a checksum, then JDownloader won't check anything either.

Failing and not performing are two different things.

Here it's shown in the Status column directly.
    However, this
    is highly probably the reason.

I too noticed it depends on file hoster,
if the files are fine, don't trouble yourself with it

Yes, it does. But it only shows the result of the check.
But I meant the checksum as such. This is shown in plain text in the file properties. If there is none, then the hoster/website is not providing a checksum and there is no check because JD has no reference.

Yep, this is the most accurate answer. I've used JDownloader for centuries and usually (.sfv, .md5 or similar aside) there's no CRC check. In fact when I see one I'm kind of surprised.
I don't use it for rapidgator files though.

it depends if the filehoster provides this option - does even create any hashes, which can be checked by JD2.

I am always running manual check via winrar, testing the archive. JD2 is just damn slow with java being the shit since a few versions.

i played around with different JRE version, newer ones and this has increased CPU usage for different downloads by like a lot.
20 MEGA downloads freeze the JD2 interface and sometimes even my whole windows, this havnt happened before with older JRE versioin.
Youtube downloads does the same. I tried to find out if i can restore the old version, but this failed. I guess Java is just bad at handling something here. As decryption MEGA downloads works flawless, its just the downloading, which seems to be a problem with 320Mbit/s and more. This worked fine before. I cant find anything about that when i use google.

Definitely not setting up a Docker to just download something now and then.

I keep using JD2 because it's the fucking tweaker paradise but it does have two big problems:
    - It doesn't have a freaking buffer. This not only skyrockets disk usage but also CPU. It used to have many years ago
    - You don't have control over other disk intensive operations. When I say control I mean something like: wait until downloads complete, or only X operations at once. Two of the biggest examples:
    - Mega downloads decryption
    - Youtube videos muxing (when you download video and audio separately and at the end JD2 joins them into one mp4/mkv using Ffmpeg)

But even without these two cases, the CPU usage is indeed way higher than it should be. I've even started to use yt-dl that has like a fuckzillion options and it's hell to learn.

You can limit the amount of simultaneous downloads to 1.

You dling the video without the audio? Because, when I dl a vid (incl audio) and the separate audio stream, I get exactly this.

That works fine. But I'm talking about heavy operations triggered automatically when the download finishes, regardless of the ongoing downloads. Concretely, I want to have the resources on the downloads.
I mean that JD2 does that automatically the moment you choose a non-standard combination, so most of them.
But once both audio and video are downloaded; again, the process of muxing them into the final video is triggered automatically.
    JD2 names them "video46456blabla".dashVideo and "video46456blabla".dashAudio temporarily.

    understood, pity,
I'm running some NASes and VMs, so Docker being basically only way,
at 500Mbit DL I don't see any slowdowns - that said I mostly use Web GUI, not local app

Could be the JVM is just buggy on windows, because it uses like 100% CPU. I tried to increase the JD buffer to a lot, but this didnt fix the problem.

I goes if i control JD2 with webGUI i will have the same problem. Or maybe its just degeneration of my hardware components?

sorry for hijacking the topic, i just remembered this problem.

Having problems with JD2 today. It doesn't recognize links and can't resume the already started downloads. Win10.
