Hi guys,

i hope somebody here can help with this annoying problem with jbridge:
(using Cubase 7.5.3, Win7 64, JBridge 1.3 (Assign)).
After lots of random Cubase crashes caused by the VSTbridge, i decided to try the Jbridge.
Now, all seemed to work fine, but after some time away from the PC (maybe 1 hour), all bridged plugs have crashed (see picture), this
has happened repeatedly. I've tried enabling the recommended checkboxes in the jbridge-settings with no luck.

I would usually ask the developer, but i won't buy it if turns out to be useless on my system - whyever...
So thanks for any help !

 

I think something similar happened to me last year or so. I think I was still on ableton. Try a different version maybe?

 

geez, i thought i had the latest, now i see there are newer versions out actually...I'll try that !

 

They're up to 1.65c but the last version that was released was 1.6 beta 3.

 

i had the same problem in projects with high count of jbridge instances,and next time I loaded the project that jbridge died in all the presets were init...was horrible. the only work around I found was buy 32 lives which works like a boss.

 

They have jBridge 1.7b1 out now but i dont think it will have any huge differences over 1.65. If you have the money you should buy it as it's a really cheap and useful thing to have. Developers a awesome guy to.

 

Try to set your Win7 "Energy Option" to "no Energy" saving, also disable Standby mode.. Maybe that´s all that needs to be done.. Doesn´t sounds like an update of jBridge will fix your problem..

@n12n0: i understand you perfectly (not native speaker myself ;) )...meanwhile this happened while working in the project, pretty constantly once an hour the
bridged plugs say goodbye... (the energy options were yet set the way you suggested).
One other annoying thing - the (bridged) plugin settings are not saved with the project, they're always reset to the very first saved project settings.
The auxhosts eat a lot of RAM too, about 500 Mb...i guess VSTbridge had a lot less on a similar session.

However, I'll definitely try the newer version when this project is done. If it works (and better than vstbridge) i'll buy it, too.
