With Ozone 7 it's so easy you hardly need a tutorial

People should stop worrying about mixing and mastering and learn how to make good music instead. But since you won't find a craft plugin the industry sells you this shit instead. It is so obvious that it's not even noticeable :D

thanks a lot, I really like iZotope spirit of making things more simple/efficient

One thing I don't understand is why any vocal processed through Nectar sounds like crap.
I mean these guys are some of the masters of DSP, you can tell by trying stuff like RX or Ozone where they get better sounding results than a other developers (in addition to providing a fabulous GUI).
I really like the GUI of Nectar as well but spent many hours on the product and could not get anything near pro sound

5teezo most people don't have thousands for professional mixing/mastering, so making music and knowing how to mix it properly don't hurt each other. show some common sense.

and before you speak of skills of others, always show what's so special about your own work. usually, guys like you have zero to demonstrate.

My common sense says, don't buy into the obvious scheme:

YOU NEED OUR SOFTWARE SO YOUR MUSIC SOUNDS GOOD, SO YOU CAN GET AIRPLAY!

This idea taps into the mind of an aspiring musician who thinks, "oh right, the Song is good, the sound is just not 'professional' enough. THAT'S the problem". AND that's the kind of mental trap that makes you buy Ozone. BUT: a shitty song will most likely remain a shitty song even if it's well mixed – I am not even talking about mastering at this point. If you buy Ozone you still need good Monitors and some actually fundamental knowledge of the relationship between music and physics.

If someone actually thinks he/she has a smash hit at hand you should be willing to spend a couple of hundreds or find someone who believes in it to get it mixed instead of throwing Ozone at it without any idea what it does. Besides that: everybody who actually mixes for a living – which is mot me – never uses Ozone alone. They ALL use Ozone Advanced because only then you can use only certain modules and built your own Mastering chain. Because every song is different.

In other words: manufactures of tools like these trick people into thinking that there product is actually a multiplicator for success when it actually isn't. Enough common Sense for today!

5teezo Developers will continue marketing their product as such. Greatest, latest, best, ultimate, must have, bla bla bla. They don't care and they won't change anything in their marketing approach, because it's their bread and butter. But if you are smart, you're not gonna buy it just because the advertisement tells you so. And nowadays there are enough demo versions of software to "try before you buy" and decide whether you need it or not. And if a guy is a fool who buys everything that's being thrown at him by marketing departments, I'd say, it serves him well. Then let him buy, let him fool himself thinking he will rock stadiums just because he uses the latest gimmick. I don't see a problem.

I really don't think plugins' developers are to blame for a lack of great music today. For me they are not the reason and definitely not a main reason by far. If they are guilty, they are somewhere on a bottom of the list.
