im pretty disappointed in the release. Major lack of features available in 2.

 

From the manual (page 17): Trash provides the ability to set the type or shape of any of the six nodes. Each filter type may contain options for a low shelf, low-pass, peak, high shelf or high-pass filter.
You overlooked the drop down option.

 

Are you read correct manual?
I can't confirm this. My opinion is based only on 5 videos + 3 hours stream.
But I watched carefully and no one changed this filter.

There is even video from Izotope and guy presenting every section of the plugin.
And when he talk about filter section at 13:10 there is nothing about other types, there isn't any drop down menu.
At least he didn't show it but why?
It seems like there is no drop down menu.

 

im playing with it now, and see no option to change the filter type. maybe im missing it, but yah, i dont immediately see it

 

Man Izotope sucks so hard now. Totally clueless. Anyone with half a brain knows if you take away features all the hardcore long-time users will be pissed. Hide that shit behind an advanced tab to please the marketing idiots and keep innovating. They also seem to have removed oversampling and I've seen reports of terrible aliasing. What a joke.

 

Oh, I probably misread your post, sorry. I thought you were referring to Trash 2, but it seems you compared it to T2.
So yes, it looks like they removed these filter options in T3, great move.

 

Izotope started sucking the moment Native Instruments bought them.
"Trash 3" had so much potential given how much Trash 2 was innovative and influencial.

Izotope new GUI direction looks off all across their products, there's something wrong with it.
An then you remove the features that made it so special ?

Saturn 2, Thermal, Rift 2 and Shaperbox 3 are all better options in my opinion.
Trash 2 is still great even if it looks outdated.

Hopefully a frustrated designer like Plugmon will make a new GUI for Trash 2

 

Just remember that Trash 2 still works perfectly well. So is Nectar 2 and Iris.

There's no reason to stop using any of the plugins because they are not new.

Yes! Used a BK Butler Tube Driver model as a snare distortion, sounded sick

 

I've downloaded all the FX pedals from ToneHunt, some good stuff there, and they've got a few outboard captures too.
