Hah! R2R really partially cracked, I'm replace only dll's from V.R. release and get DYNAMIC unmask (Relay from R2R)

But V.R's version is 3.6.0 and not 3.6.2a. How does that work

 

the DLLs do all of the "number crunching" and logic for the .vst3 plugin itself. its possible this didnt change much between those versions, because they mostly were fixes for the macOS platform.

 

frankly im confused and thankful that I don't really rely on Nectar so much, in fact I don't remember the last time using it in a project for vocals. Hopefully one of the R2R members saw this thread and maybe everything will proper on the next release. Izotope though, I understand they are trying to sell the subscription service but this is so fucking confusing.

 

Yeah I do rely on Nectar, mainly because it was my first mixing plugin back in 2011. i didnt know a thing about mixing but it helped me put my first demo out. ill always appreciate it for that.

Or FAST Reveal. Possible V.R. working as not fine, on relay sidechain does't work correcly.

 

on reaper? if so you need to make a send from vocal track to the track with relay on it, from stereo 1/2->new channels 3/4 on second track. also make sure the routing i/o matches

 

Ah, i see. Just a suggestion, if masking and ducking stuff that involves vocals, I use Soothe2 (sidechain mode) these days because of the control of the sharpness and depth of the duck. In mid side/mode, so the ducking only happens in the mid so the vocal can punch through. The delta mode is handy to hear what it is actually being attenuated. It's not automatic and requires some routing though, but the result is super satisfying, give it a try.

 

Update on my Neutron 3.8.1 issue: Fresh windows install fixed it. Up until today, I didn't know why it fixed it.

if you look at the Neutron 3.9.0 release notes, it says:
"Fixed inability to run Track Assistant in Neutron 3 after trialing Neutron Pro."

On my previous Windows install, i had installed the izotope production suite (cracked) which includes Neutron Pro.

Also, if you open Relay and goto "settings" and look at your License, on Neutron release it says "Relay advanced"

on NECTAR release, Relay license says "Relay" which indicates a difference in licenses.

NECTAR conclusion: PARTIALLY CRACKED
NEUTRON conclusion: My fault / Izotope's fault

R2R has released a FIXED version of the mentioned Nectar 3.6.2a. Thank you to whoever brought this to their attention!
