Hey gang,

So I recently purchased Iris 2 and just getting around to running through it but one thing I've noticed is it feels a bit sluggish. From loading it up to cycling through presets, it just feels like it takes a significant amount of time to do so. I have pretty beefy pc so I know its not my system. I've tried opening it up in the latest version of Cubase and Maschine with no luck. Additionally, some presets tend to spike my CPU hard, even after adjusting the buffer setting on my interface to 512.

Is anyone using Iris 2 and have you run into any similar issues?

 

No, but as with any good plug-in company, if you notify them of the issue you are having, they will probably put out an update very soon to fix it.

 

It's slow here too, on i7 4790k and 16 GB ram

 

Iris 1 is way better - v2 is buggy and slow.

 

If it's eating your CPU reduce the maximum number of voices, disable Radius Rt HQ mode and set the RT limit to a lower number of samples.
Only use Polyphonic voicing when you really need to otherwise go Mono.
When you use it in Maschine, keep the GUI closed until you absolutely need it.

Izotope stuff is just slow on my PC. i7 6700k at 4.5 Ghz... I hardly have to wait for anything. But if I load up Trash 2 in Studio One... may as well go grab a coffee. Flipping through presets is pretty slow for my PC as well, even on Live.
