I've been playing with it all morning. I really like it. I didn't go for the Advanced. It's just an extra $50 but I just bought a bunch of other stuff so now is not the time for it, and I don't do surround sound. I'm finding I can trust it to make decisions pretty similar to what I would have done. It's good at detecting and DynEQing out some of that upper midrange/lower high range harshness that can be so hard to pin down on my vocal recordings.

Sure. I'll try and get around to it after work. In order for it to be a fair comparison, I'll have to include a bit of post-processing since the original mix had Satin and Maximus applied, but the EQ changes remain valid, and they are the biggest improvement. In my original mixes there is an upper mid range harshness on loud consonants, and on the Neutron mix they are 95% gone on one verse and 100% gone on the other. It inserted a few smart dynamic EQ nodes where I would not have been sharp enough to put them without a lot of critical listening/trial and error.

Man, I am such a fan of Izotope. I really wanted that MBP2 upgrade but I just got a new interface and a FEThead so I just opted for Neutron standard.

External sidechain for vst3 doesn't work. It works weird even for vst2 version. No real autotweaking - it's just surf thru preset base. And for me it's eating from 3 to 9% per instance.

Interesting. I couldn't immediately get the sidechaining working, figured it was just a matter of reading the manual. I'll have to check if it does work

For me It works only via send routing. In Vst2 version I can't feel the difference between external and internal sidechaining. Dynamic bend working even when external trigger (bend) is muted. What the point?

    UPD:

Or i'm stupid as hell, or sidechain with external bend (neutron EQ) doesn't work at all.

Got it from the sister site. The UI is extremely laggy and it's actually lagging my whole DAW when I open it. One instance is eating 22% cpu on Studio One x64, Win 10 x64.

There's certainly something wrong, either with the plugin itself or with the k'd version.

This never happened with any other plugin on my current setup.

win10x64 Reaper, 0.8% per instance, laptop (i7-4710HQ) so far nothing extra (eq, exciter, and two compressors per instance)

I get laggy UIs with all my izotope plugins in studio one, and it's why I still haven't bought it. I may end up going to Cubase or something
