Some of these old analog synthesizers are a toy for adults (so the play instinct is satisfied).
I can not gain anything from the old ones. They are expensive, the keyboard is mostly bad and repairs are expensive.
The oscillators are constantly misaligned and they take up a lot of living space.

My Virtual MiniMoog Synthesizer runs all the time and is much cheaper.

 

No, it is not. Not addictive as any other drug, nor the biggest enemy of "productive people".

 

You can get dependent on the dopamine rush it gives you, your health suffers, you alienate yourself from others, get nothing done, can not function without these web triggers, so it is similar to any other drug in a sense that you brains get wired to the "excitement" it gets from social media, youtube-ing, mindless browsing, news sites etc.
It can ruin your life and any future career, so it can be very destructive.
They have therapies for internet/social media/smart phones now, this is no joke.
It is not on the same level of physical dependency like heroin or other substances but it can mess you up differently.

rules are followed. Without rules and laws, chaos reigns. A cell phone is freely available and there is no training.

Since many people are not aware of the consequences of Internet abuse, they do not realize how it works and what negative consequences it can have. For intelligent people, it is easier to buy a book on the subject or read about it on the Internet and use that knowledge to guide their actions.
