Anyone successfully bridged Soundtoys 4.1.8-R2R on Windows 8 x64? I keep getting VST failed to load and I set auxhost, jBridge and my DAW to run as administrator. The move to 64-bit is so annoying. Not only do I now have 2 Program Files folders to deal with, I have to jump through these stupid hoops to get a plug-in to work. :snuffy:

The funny thing is that 4.1.8 worked on XP x86 but I wasn't bridging the plug-in. :dunno:

I'm really surprised we don't have a single Windows 8 64 user that bridges Soundtoys. :wow:

Try it on Reaper with the internal bridge...see if its the plugin, the daw or jbridge.

Thanks, will do. It couldn't be that the iLok license manager is on C: and the plugs are on D: right? That would be stupid.

Same problem on Audition CC and windows 7, I must move bridged soundtoys folder while scaning plugins, just won't work.
I don't think there is a solution, just read reaper thread http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=119915

it might be worth trying pasting the bridged files into same folder with 32 bit dll s. I know jbridge advises against it, but I ve been doing it since I was using Live, out of necessity. I still have them in the same folder. Never had any problems

    Well...there goes the Reaper theory!

I hope it's just a Windows 8 issue. I have just about had it with Pro Tools as my main daw. I love my Soundtoys stuff and will be in the same boat if this happens on Windows 7.

    I'm running Decapitator 4.0.2 jBridged on W7 x64.
    No problem now.

    But i had strange troubles.

    Read chapter 6 :

I get the same error as you when trying to bridge soundtoys with jBridge and im on Windows 8.1. Im going to try to drop down to a earlier release of soundtoys and see if that works.. (I cant live without soundtoys lol)

EDIT: 4.02 works i couldn't find 4.1.6 what was mentioned above

Did you find a solution for 4.1.8?

Thanks for lettings us know. Pipotron offered a possible solution in this thread but I haven't tried it. I hate 4.0.2 because there are supid bugs such as the knobs not moving during automation. By the way the 4.1.6 doesn't work on higher sample rates, it was a bug that Soundtoys accidentally introduced.
