I've been having issues with the latest 2.0 KORG VSTs and Studio One 5, on windows 10
Since R2R's Software Pass Emulator, the plugins don't work in any other DAW, except FL Studio.
Studio One just freezes when loading.

I've also tried the latest RET releases, with no luck.
Tried the original demos. No luck either.

If anyone managed to fix this, or has an idea on how to troubleshoot / find the problem, it would be highly appreciated. I'm the sort of guy who gets stuck on these things until they're solved. Thank you in advance!

 

Question: Is it about these: KORG - WAVESTATION v2.2.0 VSTi, KORG - TRITON v1.3.3 VSTi, KORG - Prophecy v1.0.1 VSTi, KORG - Polysix v2.2.0 VSTi, KORG - MS-20 v2.2.0 VSTi etc / everything Team RET ? Have you Window 10 ?
Delete the old software / authorization tool from R2R before you install RET, switch off the antivir, otherwise it will eat the keygen.

1,) Uninstall Korg Auth tool from R2R
2.) Uninstall all Korgs
3.) Restart the PC
4.) Switch off Antivir software
5.) Install RET plugins and run the keygen

Yes, those are the plugins. Running windows 10 on a fast machine.
I deleted anything I could find (Registry, Korg folders in Program Data, Common Files, Users) with no luck.
Tried a fresh install with no antivirus, not even windows defender.

Does your Studio One 5 also work with other plugins or does Studio One have a problem? Please do a function test.

Studio One works with pretty much everything else. Googled a lot and it looks like nobody has the same problem as I do. It's weird>

Tried cubase 11, bluecat batchwork, ableton etc. They crash everything, except FL Studio.

How do I do a visual basic function test?

 

You should just make sure you have all the visuals installed. Error exclusion procedure. If you install this and still have problems, it may be something to do with your graphics card. Have you checked the event display for Windows errors? Did you use the KORG3_KeyGen?

Can you maybe install an older version of Korg to see if it works? Have you updated your graphics card? What kind of system do you have - maybe something is out of date?

It's complicated today. Sometimes it also has to do with what hardware you have built into your PC. Many problems come from graphics cards; some graphics card manufacturers have made defective products. Microsoft with its updates sometimes breaks the configuration again.

Loaded some Slate plugins (there's another topic about those not showing up) into S1 and the "GForce Experience" popped up, like it does in graphic accelerated aps.
Wondering, what if Korg plugins crash when they put S1 in a graphic accelerator state, I immediately loaded Korg Polysix, and it worked.

So i guess it's a graphics issue. I had previously reinstalled the latest drivers, changed between gaming / studio, but that doesn't help.

 

Deinstall "GeForce Experience", nobody needs that and only causes problems!

YES, turning everything off in the nVidia 3D settings solves the issue of Korg Plugins Crashing Studio One and Cubase.

Ever since I can remember, I had multiple crash problems with standalone versions of synths in KORG Collection. Whenever I closed the program, it would crash. While it was open, everything worked fine. When I closed it, every time I could expect a crash.
I've been using integrated graphics card in my laptop, while having additional nVidia card available on-board. So out of curiosity I changed system settings, to load KORG Polysix with nVidia instead of integrated Intel. To my surprise when I loaded the Polysix.exe and closed it, nothing happened. So I loaded other KORG synths without changing the settings in nVidia. I did that only for Polysix. They could all be opened and closed without a single crash. I thought that I would change it back to integrated Intel card and check again. To my surprise, synths were no longer crashing.

This whole topic is important to me. I know that sometimes a fix can appear out of nowhere, without any logic to it. It was the Lonely_Avatars' message that caught my attention. I was disappointed by the lack of useful information online. I read this last reply not hoping to find a solution. Somehow thanks to this forum I got rid of the problem. No idea how this could happen, especially when I changed it back to previous graphics card. I haven't made any more modifications, so I'm assuming that this was a relevant fix. I wanted to share the information. I know I'm not the only one experiencing problems with KORG Collection.
