So I am using crossover for a keygen that is .exe. The keygen requires you to create a .ol file and is supposed to generate to the desktop, but for some reason {likely crossover related} I cannot get the file to generate. Any help on this?

 

have you tried using Wineskin Winery? what Keygen?

 

With Crossover 20, all need to do is to create a bottle called KeyGens or whatever (Windows 7 32 bit is sufficient). After that select this bottle and click on "Run Command…", browse to the Keygen you want to run and that's it.

keygens are the only reason I used to use Crossover, so it fits the bill nicely. I'd rather use a free tool for something so simple, rather than use something cracked. You create the wrapper called "mycoolwrapper.app" (or whatever you want), drag the EXE onto the wrapper and then just run it. It doesn't get much easier.

The only downside I see to it, is that the "mycoolwrapper.app" Winery creates is about 550mb filesize and it is not automatically deleted. You can reuse the wrapper more than once, but it takes up less hd space to delete it and just keep the application.

 

That's because the wrapper basically cointains a windows install.
