As listed in the question, just curious because I could only find a mac version. Would you consider this plugin time saving, and are there any plugins like it if there's no windows version?

Is the sister site audioz? oh man, didn't realize the plugins affordable. Most of mine are ludicrously priced but i use the ones i buy the most.

cheap on the first view, but if you want to keep getting updates you have to regularely update which costs money.

New here. How do you read the above graphs and what do you mean by "it's doing this" ? Is it causing artifacts ? ELI5 please.

Imagine this as a cartesian coordinate system where the abscissa is showing you the individual frequencies and on the ordinate you find the loudness of these. You can see on these pics that vitamin is (just) adding harmonics and subharmonics to your sound.

    [IMG] Will try.

The big wave is coming from a sine wave. This is what I've fed into Vitamin. All the other waves are generated by Vitamin. As you can see, it creates all even and odd harmonics with a decreasing level. That's not what I'd call a usefull saturation plugin.
These harmonics are pretty low in level but when you manage to make them audible, they highly probably just sound like distortion because the level of these harmonics is too close together. I prefer saturation pluggins with a few odd or even harmonics at a higher level.

But the biggest wave... we all know, came from R2R. what are some of your fav saturation plugins or a plugin that you use to "test" plugins that lie to your ears? I found one so far called gainmatch which kind of helps see if a plugins helping or hindering.

    [IMG] That's correct.

Reaper stock, Black Rooster VPRE-73, DSP-1 (old x86 pluggie), FabFilter Saturn, Noise Ash Need 31105, Wavesfactory Spectre and some others for more heavy saturation.

I'm usually testing plugins with DDMF's Plugindoctor.
