is there a way to check if speed of android/iphone could be faster internet/googling wise - not for games (if it was a better more expensive phone) or if the wifi of the building i'm staying at would basically keep it at same speed even though it was a better mobile phone

how can i test this

i guess what i'm asking is how can i test if my wifi or my mobile phone is faster, if i make any sense, thanks

 

speedtest.net is how I do internet speed tests.

They have an android app.. I'm sure they have an iOS app too.

 

I use LibreSpeed, It's the same as speedtest but without the bloat.

Exactly, and don't use the default server.
Change to some server in a big town in a developed country.
(unless you want to know how speed you can download from your neighbor lol)

One advantage of SPeedtest, is that you can create an account and keep results for several servers and several days. So you can demonstrate how's is your connection if you need to.
I've used it to complain to an ISP last year.

The apps shows you what's incoming, why shouldn't the phone be capable to handle it?
