Is there a modern day DAW equivalent to Notator (Atari) ?

    Totally agree. I still have an Atari STe and Falcon stored away along with Cubase and Notator :winker:

    FL Studio always felt a bit like Notator to me. Its a similar way of creating loops then dropping that loop into arrange, but it looks nothing like Notator.

    I think the most modern option for something that actually looks like Notator screens, is probably Renoise. But it is a tracker, and I think it may be sort of light on Scoring side of things.

    We write, give suggestions, looking around for ideas but we have no more news about 'cdl'... the one who asked the question and who should be interested. :rofl:

    Has a bit of a Notator appearance...

    For me Notator let you duplicate a loop, make a few small changes and drop that as your next 8. So it feels a bit like FL in that way. But I don't know what the OP is after exactly, is it look, feel, performance?
