is there a Kd version of Vienna Ensemble Pro that works 100% ?
VEP 6 crashing here on save..
VEP 5 2 versions.. blank patches on load.. on the server..
so I wonder ..

 

Nothing to do with tutorials.... Moving it to software.

 

Hi there! I have no problems at all even using advanced fetures with 5.4.16181 (win 7 64bits) on both machines. Only tested with Reaper as master

 

usually when VEP 6 crashes, it's Windows to blame, at least that's my experience

 

so you are not having problems with VEP 6 on windows? which version of windows are you using may I ask ?

 

I believe I was testing VEP on W10 LTSB 1607 Lite V5 by IK

 

I didn't really have fun with the cracked version.

But imho VEP now is worth the price ($195) so I bought it in December and am really flashed to use my older hardware (as a server) to run instances of heavy Kontakt libs on it while my DAW load is down to a few %...
VEP now comes with (only) one server license (plus included epic Orchestra 2). If you already use e.g. Cubase and own an eLicenser you'll be ready to go. But most of us will be done with one server license because you don't need a license to run the VEP VST inside your DAW.
I f you plan to use a Client/Server setup you would need a seperate eLicenser for the server (~$20 on ebay). Additional server lics are $95.

I decided to buy over a longer "try" because for the K'd you can not rely on updates and having support can be nice for the beginning.

There are some issues atm: VEP 7 doesn't support VST3 plugins and for some Kontakt libs the UIs are scrambled. But they will fix that. The quetion will be if the new versions will be cracked soon.
And if you Main machine is running latest MacOS, it doesn't support MS remote desktop properly wich is handy to use in conjunction with VEP.

All in all, this is one of the (rare) cases where using cracked software makes no sense imo.
