I mainly play techno, with the odd tech house track. I now mainly DJ for pleasure at home, but may play live if I ever feel the urge as me and a friend hwo also plays techno have previously done some spontaneous b2b nights (haven't done one since using CDJ1000s though) , but would be using the standard venue gear, being Pioneer.

I am just wondering if the FLX4 is decent enough to use for techno, which is normally fairly uncomplex mixing, and to get familiar and working within the Pioneer Rekordbox eco system, or is it worth considering one of the pricier options?

I don't have a budget in mind per se, but to keep the better half happy, the cheaper the better (or I will inevitably have to end up lying about the cost of audio gear again!).
