Been out for approx 9 or so moths now I think. Wondering if it's worth buying seeing that is hasn't popped up anywhere yet so no means of testing it out "fully" beforehand?

Would've been outstanding to have seen it on the sister site or the like by now to try it out!

Totally worth it. If you've never tried it before, there's a free 20-day demo on their site.

till now it was quite PITA to play with/use it, luckily it has been solved now (with Bitwig 2 modulators... bit addictive :) so worth to set some time limit before u open it )

its pretty cool if you like modular synths, has doepfer and intelij modules, all konds of cables and effects. You can save modular patches

Sounds different then hardware but a lot of fun, all kinds of sequencers and whatnot included

Other great modular cable patching synth is Bazille from uhe

How is it compared to Reaktor 6's Blocks and Pulsar Modular's P900?

Not on Mac so I can't speak for the P900 but IMHO even though it's not a direct emulation of any specific piece of hardware, Reaktor is superior. The one thing Modular has over Reaktor is it was done together with Dieter Doepfer and Intellijel who design and manufacture these modules in real life and can claim to be actual 'digital' emulations of the real thing. Reaktor devices are more inspired by hardware, dreamed up or frankensteined together. Reaktor core emulates the individual components you would use to build a synth which gives it unmatched flexibility.
Reaktor has more modules available and the ability to create your own and share is the biggest win of all.
Case in point: Euro Reakt 4.15
A free collection of 137 different modules from signal switches and burst generators to logic calculators and sample scanners/loopers.
I've learned a lot by breaking breaking down devices (especially the user created ones) and either reconstructing them or modding existing (even stock NI) instruments with their parts.
Sound-wise, they're both modular so you can make the sound as serene or as gnarly as you want. I could be wrong but Reaktor's core oscillators sound grittier, thicker and have slightly more low end.

The Euro Reakt blocks are designed by Dr. Michael Hetrick of Unfiltered Audio and are free to download. That's how cool Reaktor is.
