Hi!
Is it possible to downgrade from Monterey to Big Sur on a M1 Pro 14 inch 2021 Mac?
The information is quite confusing... According to an Apple page I read it is apparently not possible.
But I read it is possible on some sites
Anyway I have tried to download Big Sur and it always takes me to "upgrade Monterey"

Apple do not make finding the files you need to downgrade very easy. You could always find the installer via Torrent. macOS.Big.Sur.11.4.20F71.Multilingual is the most recent I see.

You should be able to find an official link with some looking around. Links in App Store, etc.

 

Please don't download it using Torrents.

So, is it possible to install and run Big Sur on a 2021 14" Mac with M1 Pro?
Should I use the "createinstallmedia" command in Terminal for Big Sur:*
then follow instructions for Terminal, and finally the instructions for use a bootable installer (with Apple Silicon option)?
