i got myself a gibson thunderbird. but i use 808s more. its worth it. get as much instruments as you can. and learn how to play them. it does make sense if you wanna make music. no doubt. you can even make money with them and your skills. oldschool is giving lessons or beeing a studio musician. (bc normal people can only play fl and never know the scales) if you wanna be alone sell your basslines. or make a party with a punk band and get drunk on stage. its also cool to destroy it for a nice selfie. if you put it on your naked girlfriend it looks really good also. now i will try to make an 808 with that.

but I didn't. that's a distortion plugin. i like recording and processing ... i made my own music box instrument for kontakt and it makes no sense but i wanna try and do everything... i go to stores and record snares. i go to factories and record machines. i use pedals. i evolve in sounddesign and technical stuff. i use fender for guitar loops. my girlfriend left me bc i smoke too much weed. and now i don't even have a social life anymore bc i have to try all that stuff. i love it man i made a cool expansion for faw sublab. recorded analog kicks from hardware and made 808s. every label can do this better but its so cool. and then i don't even use that stuff myself lol. I'm a freak. Maybe that's why they left...

You can't go wrong with Aguilar man.
Although look up Hartke HD series cabs. I have the HD112 and I'm using it with Tone Hammer 500 head. I couldn't be happier with the sound.
Occasionally I'll throw some tubes into the mix but dosing just a little bit with the drive knob on the TH500 gives you chocolate salty balls all day.

I was staring at Aguilar like that one girl I like. I was also eye fucking the Darkglass amp to pair the Agi cab with. Ampeg & Orange 8x10 sounded ace too when I was demoing bass cabs at a shop.

I actually tried Hartke a while back, I don't think it was the same model as you're recommending me but I just wasn't as impressed with that or Markbass as I thought I'd be. I thought the Hartke amp I tried just didn't have enough booty for me but again maybe they have improved tenfolds since then, I don't know.

I've been so attracted by the sound of the 2008 Marshall 8x10 cab I have in the Dr.Bonkers IR pack I bought.

It's just the fucking most perfect tone with just the right about of clank + bite that I like in bass because I mostly fuck with metal so it was more than up my street but I've never even heard of it until I got that cab pack let alone ever seen one in the wild.

So if I ever get a chance to demo that, I may just end up trying to fit that fridge in my back pocket like fuck my back. Because truth, be told that's really what I want to hunt down & bag. If not that then it probably will be getting the Agi or Da instead.
